Okay okay, so sadly, my little journey to Kooza is over now.
But man, WHAT A JOURNEY!
It started all with a 7 hour train ride from Bautzen (Saxony, germany) to Munich (Bavaria, Germany). Uff! It was exhausting but great at the same time, I met a nice little family, and I helped them carrying their suit cases.
Also, the day started with a bright and colorful sun rise. How fitting is that?! :D
Well, in Munich I tried to go to the Theresienwiese, a huge place for festival (like the Oktober Festival). But didn’t find it. Before I got totally lost I went beack to the rail station and asked for help. Someone then explained the way, and I walked for 25 minutes before…
I saw the Grand Chapiteau for the first time in my life. First through these trees there, and in it’s full glory. Look at the weather! How sunny, it was actually WARM! It rained BEFORE and AFTER that day! Like the world knew it was such a special day for me.
It was more than special, because I’ve waited for 4 YEARS for Kooza to come to Germany. As soon as I found out they’re finally here I booked my Ticket. And got the LAST SEAT IN THE FIRST ROW! WOO! Seat 11, Row AA, section 101. Such a great seat!
When I was finally there (I was 20 minutes before the Box Office would open) I saw that there weren’t many people and decide to… yes, to actually cry happy tears. I am glad not many people saw it *blush* I just couldn’t hold the joy.
Then they opened the gates, and I felt even happier, I nearly ran into the tent, but only the box office was open xD Half hour more, and they opened the tent.
I was just amazed. ARGH, finally inside of my dream! I bought also souvenirs: a BEAUTIFUL bag, a wonderful shopping bag, a Red Nose and the programm. Just wonderful!
So then, 30 minute after they opened the tent, they opened the stage tent. I was the first at my door (the others were kinda distracted by the souvenirs or drinking stuff) so I was the very first who entered the stage tent. And they actually brought me to my seat! DWNDWOJO I felt so special! I didn’t expect that!
So after I somehow managed to put my 3 bags under my seat (so it wouldn’t bother anyone) I waited with a bumping heart for the show to begin. But then the Pre-Show began earlier.
What a planned chaos! xD I laughed so much, my stomach started to hurt. The King of Fools also called me “Bella Principessa” *blushes* I was so dazzled and happy that I forgot to say “Thank you!” or even a “Hi!”, stupid me xD
Well, I won’t start to tell you the Pre-Show, because it would take too long xD If you guys want to, I can tell later
Anyways. When the show started… I stopped breathing for a while. I just were too amazed. And SHOCKED! The Innocent was SO CLOSE!!! I could see his EYE LASHES.
And then the Trickster came on stage. I must admit, I was doubting when I realized that Barry Lowin will be the Trickster. I’ve never seen him as this character before, just at his videos where he trained to be at the CdS soon. And there you couldn’t see much of the actual playing.
But MAN, WHAT a Trickster he is! He is in this character perfectly fine! Even the make up was amazing (he said in the videos that he was doubting if he could do the make up. Boy, you got it perfectly)
Breathing was very hard for me then. They all were so close! I could hear them breathe! Just imagine that!
Then the show, it was just so much better than on DVD. Yes, maybe there were only two of three contortionists, and maybe Tricky didn’t change his suit (no gold-red suit for that show), but that’s not important. Important was the feeling they gave you. It lifted you up, it made you forget your worries, your fears, your sadness - there was just joy, just happiness, never ending love! Yes, also fears, but good fear which they planted deep inside you, just to rip that fear out of you again and to replace it with joy! I felt so ALIVE there!
And then the Skeleton Dance. Many many skeletons, rats and the CROONER. I wish someone would have taken a picture or anything of what I gonna tell you.
At the Skeleton Dance (I just wanna dance the Kooza!) I was super happy and quietly singing the song with the singers. sure, no one heard me because it was too loud that anyone would hear my whispered singing, but I guess people could see that I moved my lips. I was watching the skeletons as I saw something in the corner of my eyes. And there he was, the Crooner, slowly coming down the stage on the side of the stage where I was sitting.
He was facing me, and I first thought he faced someone behind me.
He was just 2 meters away from me
He put his right hand on his (mask) lips
come closer to me
and tipped my nose with the fingers he had on his lips
I was so happy that i didn’t faint!
I am not sure, yet I guess the Crooner is also played by Barry Lowin (the Trickster) so Barry Nathan lowin did touch my noooooose
ndjekie my nose just tickles when I remember that!
Then, at the Treeterboard Act another magical moment. I mostly watched the Trick during that act, but just when the Innocent was all too cute to ignore Tricky came down the stage at my side again, and we made eye contact for like 4 or 5 seconds. I am 100% sure I BLUSHED like a
potatoe tomato, and I didn’t know what to do, and my first thought was: WAVE
so i waved, shyly, grinning like an idiot.
Tricky smiled back!
He winked with that incredible mischievous smile!
Thank you, Barry Lowin, for that!
Maybe he doesn’t know HOW MUCH this means to me! My all-time favourite character and a fantastic artist and actor winked at me! :DDD
But then it ended again, sadly. I cried, just like I do whenever I watch the DVD. How the Trickster, the King and his sidekicks vanish into the like, but Innocent is still happy. And I was too. I identified myself with the Innocent that moment. We both saw an incredible world, and yes, maybe it’s gone, but we realized that our world can be colorful and magical too.
We just have to make it like that.
